1. The Promoter
The competition promoter is Caledonian Sleeper Limited a company incorporated and registered in Scotland with company number SC328825 whose registered office is Basement And Ground Floor Premises, 1-5 Union Street, Inverness, Scotland, IV1 1PP (“Caledonian Sleeper”)
2. The Competition
2.1. The title of the competition is “Caledonian Sleeper Photography Competition”.
2.2. Entry into the competition can be completed through its prize draw form at www.sleeper.scot/photography-competition
2.3. The Prizes:

- The prize for travel on the Caledonian Sleeper service:
(a) is provided by Caledonian Sleeper Limited, 1-5 Union Street, Inverness, IV1 1PP;(b) is subject to availability;
(b) The Winner must book their travel by 29th January 2025 and travel on or before 31st March 2025. Dates for travel on Caledonian Sleeper must be outside of 23rd December – 2nd January 2025. In 2025, the blackout dates are from 17 to 21 February 2025.
(c). Caledonian Sleeper does not accept any responsibility, and will not provide any cash or other alternative, if you are not able to book or use or take up the Prize;

3. How to enter
3.1. The prize draw will run from 12.01am GMT on 18th July 2024 to 11.59pm GMT on 31st October 2024 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
3.2. All prize draw entries must be received by Caledonian Sleeper by no later than 11.59pm GMT on the Closing Date. All prize draw entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.
3.3. To enter the prize draw, fill out the form, providing your Full Name and contact details.
3.4 There is no entry fee for entering the prize draw.
3.5. Caledonian Sleeper will not accept responsibility for prize draw entries that it does not receive.

4.Entries
4.1. Each entry must be the original work of the person submitting it. There must be only one image per entry. No stock photography is allowable.
4.2. AI-generated photography will not be accepted for judging. Any image suspected of being AI generated, will be investigated, and removed from the competition. This will be done through an online AI-image detector.
4.3. There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit.
4.5. Entrants under 18 must have the permission of their parents/guardians to submit. If the overall winner is under the age of 16 an adult must accompany them on the Caledonian Sleeper.
4.6. Please do not add any visible watermarks to your entries as the judging is anonymous.
4.7. Do not alter your images beyond minor colour corrections and levels adjustments.
4.8. Prize winners will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision is final.
4.9. Once announced, all entrants will be notified of the result by email. Finalists will be notified by email or telephone.
4.10 By submitting your entry, you agree to all of the terms and conditions listed here.
5. Technical Specifications
5.1. Please ensure that your entries are submitted as electronic files, at 72dpi, in JPEG or PNG format, and a maximum size of 4MB
5.2. All finalists will be required to re-submit the originals in RAW, JPEG or TIFF format at 300dpi.
6. Rights
6.1. All entrants agree to the storage of their images in electronic form for the purpose of judging the competition and the private distribution of those images as required to complete the judging process.
6.2. The photographer warrants that the rights (of any kind) to the photograph have not previously been sold or granted to any third party
6.3. The finalists grant Caledonian Sleeper the right to use the images in electronic form or in print for the specific purpose of promoting Caledonian Sleeper and its Awards without restriction in any media.
6.4. Electronic files sent as attachments will not be returned and Caledonian Sleeper accepts no responsibility for submissions in any other form. Prints or physical media sent as submissions will not be returned.
6.5. By submitting an Entry in the Competition, you grant to Caledonian Sleeper a non-exclusive royalty-free worldwide commercial licence unlimited in time, to use the Entry (whether or not it wins the Competition) in all formats and in any medium of communication, and for all promotional purposes which Caledonian Sleeper shall consider appropriate.
6.6. The copyright of the images will be retained by the photographer although all entries will be accepted on the basis that the photographer gives permission for any images submitted to be reproduced by the Caledonian Sleeper without a fee in furtherance of the competition. Wherever possible, images will be credited to the photographer.
7. Judging
7.1. The judging panel will consist of 5 judges. By a panel from Caledonian Sleeper, including Kathryn Darbandi, Managing Director, Steven Marshall, Head of Sales & Marketing, Kayleigh Bonner, Influencer Marketing & Social Media Executive, and Derek Thompson, Head of Retail & Pricing and amateur railway photographer. Professional photographer Tony Marsh will serve as a guest judge.
7.2. The winner will be notified by email (using details provided at entry) and must provide a postal address and account information to claim their prize.
7.3. If a winner does not respond to the Caledonian Sleeper within 30 days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and the Caledonian Sleeper will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

9. General
9.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Caledonian Sleeper may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.
9.2. Caledonian Sleeper reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
9.3. The prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. You are providing your information to Caledonian Sleeper.
9.4. These terms and conditions shall be governed by Scots Law, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
9.5. We encourage all participants to act safely around railways.
