About your Seat and Wheelchair space
We have worked to create a dedicated wheelchair space with a complimentary seat for you or a travel companion to use throughout your journey, ensuring you get to your destination with the support you need.
All our wheelchair space and seated guest have access to station guest lounge facilities where available before and after travel.
Guests in our seated coach to do not have access to our club car but by using the call button at your seat, you’ll be able to order and enjoy a range of delicious dishes and drinks from our at-seat menu.
Guests are welcome to travel with their service animals free of charge.
For guests travelling in our seated coach between London and Fort William, in both directions, there is a requirement to change coaches at Edinburgh Waverley. This coach change requires guests to alight one service, wait for a short period of time on the platform before boarding the next service. Our staff will be on hand to assist wheelchair users during this transfer.
We can take wheelchairs and mobility scooters no bigger than 70cm wide and 120cm long, with a combined weight of guest and luggage of not more than 300kg, in all our accessible rooms. We cannot offer assistance transferring guests in wheelchairs into their bed and/or the toilet.
We are not able to offer charging facilities for powered wheelchairs or accept CPAP/BPAP machines, ventilators and other medical equipment on board our services. Charging facilities are available at Caledonian Sleeper lounges.
All of our trains have accessible accommodation, but unfortunately not all of the stations we serve are fully accessible.
The interactive Access Map allows you to view all stations across Britain and identify whether they are accessible. Details include whether stations have step free or partial step free access and what facilities are available at each station, including accessible toilets and changing places.
